Statement of Faith

The Bible

The Holy Bible is the inspired Word of God written by holy men of God as they were moved by the Holy Ghost, and is the basis for any statement of faith (2 Timothy 3:16; 1 Peter 1:21). The church membership subscribes to the doctrinal statements of the Baptist Faith. We unite ourselves together as a body of baptized believers in Jesus Christ personally committed to sharing the good news of salvation to lost mankind. The ordinances of the church are Baptism (Matthew 28:19) and the Lord's Supper (1 Corinthians 11:23-25).

God

God is one, manifested in three persons, John 14:26; 1 John 5:7; 2 Corinthians. 13:14; 1 Peter 1:2.
  • God the Father is greater than all, Romans 8:34; Colossians 3:1; the course of the word, the begetter, John 1:14.
  • The Son, Jesus Christ, the only begotten of the Father and has existed with the Father from the beginning, John 1:1, 14, 18.
  • The Holy Ghost the third person of the God-head proceeds from both Father and Son, John 14:16, 26; 15:22.

Man, His Fall

  • Man is created being made in the likeness and image of God, Genesis 1:27. 
  • Through Adam's disobedience, Genesis 3:1-7, man fell and sin has come into the world, Romans 5:12, so under the curse of Adam all men have sinned and come short of the Glory of God, Romans 3:23; Romans 3:10 non righteous.

Man's Redemption

Man's Redemption is in Jesus Christ the Son of God who was manifested in the flesh to undo the work of the devil and gave His life, shed His blood to redeem man back to God, 1 John 3:8.

Salvation

Salvation is a gift of God, separate from works of the Law and is made operative by grace through faith in Jesus Christ our Lord, Ephesians 2:8, 9; Romans 3:24, 28.

Sin

Sin entered into the world by one man's disobedience Romans 5:12 and death by sin. Thus Sin if continued will bring forth everlasting separation from God, Romans 6:23; Galatians 5:14-21; Ephesians 5:5; James 1:15; Revelations 21:27.
